AutoGLM is the agent product line of Zhipu AI (Z.ai). Its web app builds reports, slide decks, websites and podcasts and runs browser tasks on a cloud computer, AutoGLM 2.0 added cloud phones for Chinese app errands, and Open-AutoGLM is the open-source Android phone agent Zhipu released in December 2025.

AutoGLM is serious agent work: a cloud computer that builds reports and runs web tasks you can watch and take over, cloud phones that operate Chinese apps, and an open-source phone-agent framework with Apache-2.0 code and MIT-licensed 9B models, including a multilingual one. No price list is published and the web app needs a login.
The hosted product is built around Chinese apps, Chinese-language use and data handled by a Chinese provider, which ASEAN teams should weigh under PDPA. For developers in the region, Open-AutoGLM is the part worth trying first.
What we found
AutoGLM is the agent line of Zhipu AI, the Beijing model developer that trades internationally as Z.ai and has been listed in Hong Kong as Knowledge Atlas Technology (2513.HK) since 8 January 2026. Zhipu showed the first AutoGLM in October 2024 as an agent that could finish a whole task on a real Android phone by reading the screen and tapping, swiping and typing as a person would. AutoGLM 2.0, released on 20 August 2025 for iOS, Android and the web, moved the work onto cloud phones and cloud computers so the agent no longer takes over the user's own device.
What autoglm.zhipuai.cn shows today is mostly the computer side. Its homepage calls AutoGLM a super report assistant and lists worked examples of slide decks, research reports, websites, podcasts and images, plus Web Agent jobs such as finding the cheapest flight or posting a video to Xiaohongshu, carried out on a cloud computer the user can watch and take over. The phone errands this page used to lead with, ordering on Meituan or messaging on WeChat, come from coverage of the 2.0 launch and from the open-source release.
That release is the most useful part for anyone outside China. On 9 December 2025 Zhipu open-sourced Open-AutoGLM, an Android phone-agent framework under Apache-2.0, with an AutoGLM-Phone-9B model and an English-capable Multilingual version under MIT. Zhipu said the demos cover more than 50 Chinese apps. The project says it is for research and learning, asks for confirmation before sensitive actions and hands control back at logins and captchas.
In March 2026 the same team launched AutoClaw (澳龙), a one-click desktop installer for the OpenClaw agent that uses AutoGLM's browser-operation skills and runs on credits, with a large free allowance for new users. Zhipu publishes no price list for AutoGLM itself. For ASEAN users the app coverage, language and data handling remain Chinese-first, so the open-source model is the more practical way in.
