About RECATOOLS
Practical Tools. Trusted Intelligence.
RECATOOLS is a Singapore-based platform of free tools, technology reporting, and an independent AI directory. No sign-up wall. No "three free conversions, then register". No email gate standing between you and an answer.
Most of our tools never send your input anywhere — they run in your browser, do the work, and forget it. You do not have to take that on trust. Open your network tab and watch.
We build from Singapore and start with this region, because the details here are the ones nobody else bothers to get right: the KWSP ceiling, the PCB brackets, the PPh 21 tables. Everything we publish is written to hold up anywhere else too.

Why this exists
The idea is not complicated:
A tool should answer the question and then get out of the way.
Most utility sites are advertising businesses with a calculator attached. You arrive to convert a file and leave having dismissed a cookie wall, a newsletter pop-up, and a "continue with Google". The calculator was the bait.
We took the other position. The tool is the product. Advertising pays for it, and it sits around the tool rather than in front of it — which is also why this page carries no ads at all.
Working out take-home pay after PCB, checking a health metric, comparing token prices across models, reading why a breach actually happened: same standard every time. A useful answer, quickly, with the working shown.
What we actually make
Tools that do one thing
Calculators, converters, generators. Free, no account, and most of them finish the job without a single network request.
Browse all tools →Reporting, not aggregation
We read the primary source, put a name on the byline, and date the piece. When a story is thin, we do not run it to fill a slot.
Read the latest →An AI directory with opinions
Products described by someone who actually opened them — clear positioning, honest limits, and no entry that was paid for.
Open the directory →Privacy by default, not by settings
Non-essential cookies stay off until you say otherwise. Global Privacy Control is honoured automatically. Most tools have nothing to send in the first place.
Read our privacy policy →How we work
The parts most sites leave out.
Editorial standards
Primary sources, named bylines, a date on everything. Our editorial policy sets out how a story gets chosen, sourced, and checked before it runs.
Editorial policy →When we get it wrong
We correct the article and say what changed. No silent edits, no quietly swapped paragraph, no vague "updated" stamp doing the work of an apology.
Corrections policy →Where AI is used — and where it is not
AI helps with research, first drafts, and translation, and a human reads all of it before it publishes. It runs nowhere near the tools: every calculator is ordinary deterministic code, so the same input gives the same answer today and next year.
Meet the editorial team →How this is paid for
Advertising. Some outbound links may earn us a commission, and anything paid for is labelled sponsored. Rankings, reviews, and directory entries are not for sale — and if that ever changes, this paragraph changes first.
Advertise with us →Your data
Non-essential cookies are denied until you opt in, Global Privacy Control is honoured without you having to ask, and most tools never send your input to a server at all.
Privacy policy →Who is behind this
Small, and not pretending otherwise.
RECATOOLS is built and run by RECASYS in Singapore. It is founder-led — not a newsroom, not a forty-person startup. Plenty of sites this size imply a masthead they do not have; we would rather you simply knew.
Editorial work carries named bylines, each responsible for a defined beat, and the process behind them is published rather than described. If you want to know who wrote something and how it was checked, it is one click away.

RECATOOLS came out of the same habit: build the thing properly, assume someone will try to break it, and never ask a user for anything you do not actually need.
Every platform decision runs through the same four:
- Clarity
- Usability
- Privacy-conscious design
- Practical value

RECATOOLS in your language
Nine of them, each written for its own readers.
This page exists in nine languages, and each one is drafted for its own audience rather than pushed word-for-word through a translator — which is why the examples change. The Malay page leads with KWSP and PCB; the Indonesian one with PPh 21. Tool coverage differs by language too, so every card states exactly how many there are today, including the ones where the honest number is small.
