ExaWizards exaBase AI in Southeast Asia
ExaWizards operates primarily within Japan and has not announced dedicated ASEAN localisation or in-country data residency for Southeast Asian markets. Its subsidiary footprint (India, USA) indicates early internationalisation, but the exaBase product stack — including its Japanese-language LLM integrations, JPY-denominated pricing, and Azure East Japan data-sovereignty guarantee — is not yet adapted for ASEAN enterprise procurement or compliance frameworks. ASEAN buyers in sectors like financial services or healthcare that require local data residency (MAS TRM, OJK, PDPA Thailand) should treat exaBase as a Japan-market reference rather than a regionally deployable solution for now.
exaBase AI is a sensible buy for a Japanese company that wants several frontier models under one contract, with retrieval over its own files, prompt templates, agents and the controls a compliance team asks for, all processed in Japan. The ¥900-per-user base fee is published, and the default Economy model adds no character charge, so cost scales mainly with use of the stronger models.

ExaWizards, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as 4259, runs it through Exa Enterprise AI, a group company set up in October 2023 to carry the business. The paid service began in June 2023, and the rename was meant to signal that it now does more than chat: a collection of ready-made agents, custom agents a company builds for its own work, and a slide tool that exports to PowerPoint.
Day to day it is one login to several models, including GPT, Gemini and Claude, with administrators choosing which are available. It comes with more than 150 prompt templates and room for a company's own, retrieval over uploaded PDF, Word and Excel files with the sources shown, transcription, image handling, and connections to SharePoint, Slack, Box, Teams and Outlook. Data is processed in Japanese data centres, ExaWizards says inputs are generally not used to train models, and controls include SSO, IP restrictions and audit logs.
The headline "No.1" needs reading carefully. The vendor cites a Fuji Chimera Research survey ranking it first by vendor share among third-party conversational generative AI applications for fiscal 2024, plus a Deloitte Tohmatsu MIC study of AI-agent solutions. That is a market-share position in defined categories, not a measured quality ranking. In July 2026 ExaWizards reported 150,000 users and 1,700 companies, a count that includes a separately priced edition for local governments.
Pricing is partly public: ¥900 per user a month before tax, with the default Economy model carrying no extra character charge and Standard and Premium models billed by usage. A June 2025 revision cut those usage rates. A one-week trial is available on request. Everything assumes a Japanese-speaking buyer, from sales to support, so teams elsewhere in Asia should look at it only through a Japanese office.
