Pages was a good idea: it turned Perplexity's cited research into an editable, shareable article for explainers and briefings. It cannot be used today. Perplexity retired page creation and has said since at least September 2026 that "Convert to Page" will return, without giving a date. Do not choose Perplexity for it; re-check when a rebuilt version actually ships.
What we found
Perplexity Pages still cannot be used. Perplexity's help article for the feature, last modified on 14 September 2026 and unchanged when we checked on 19 October, says only that the "Create page" feature is temporarily retired and that "Convert to Page" will return shortly with enhanced capabilities. Five weeks on, it has not. The Pages address loads an empty screen, the app's sidebar offers Computer, Automations, Artifacts and Customize but no Pages, and Perplexity's changelog entries from 18 June to 5 October 2026 do not mention it. Everything below describes a feature that is not available.
Perplexity introduced Pages on 30 May 2024 as a way to turn research into a structured, illustrated article. You chose a tone for general readers or experts, added, moved or removed sections, attached generated, uploaded or sourced images, then published to Perplexity's public library or shared a link. For explainers, study guides and internal briefings it was quicker than writing from scratch, and citations beside the text made claims easier to check than a chatbot answer.
The launch came with controversy. On 11 June 2024 Forbes accused Perplexity of republishing its reporting on Eric Schmidt's drone project, with negligible credit, as a "story" made with what Forbes called a new tool. Chief executive Aravind Srinivas described it as a product feature with rough edges, and Forbes noted that Perplexity then displayed sources more prominently. Earlier versions of this page said Forbes named Pages; the article itself does not.
Pages was never priced separately and had no API, and a Page lived on perplexity.ai rather than on your own site. Publishing at Perplexity has moved elsewhere for now: the 13 July 2026 changelog says Computer, its agent, can publish websites, and the help centre now calls threads sessions. Perplexity does not present either as a Pages replacement. We will re-review if a rebuilt Pages ships; until then it is no reason to choose Perplexity.
