Slack absorbed what used to be a $10-a-seat AI add-on into its regular plans in June 2025 — Pro gets basic thread and huddle summaries, Business+ unlocks AI search, recaps, translation and file summaries, and Enterprise+ adds cross-app enterprise search. For teams already paying for Business+, that's a genuine value bump at no extra line item.
The search and summarization work well enough for catching up on a busy channel, but reviewers note the channel-summary feature doesn't reach back through a channel's full history, so it's better for "what did I miss today" than deep archive digs. It's also scoped entirely to what's inside Slack — not a general-purpose assistant. If your team already lives in Slack and pays for Business+, it's a low-friction way to cut catch-up time.
