Feishu AI is a strong in-suite layer: meeting minutes, question-answering over company documents, configurable agents and squads, and automations all work inside the permissions a Feishu user already has. Since August 2026 the agent side carries the Doubao brand, and the AI is priced separately in credits, from ¥69 a month for individuals and ¥9,900 a year for organisations, on top of a Feishu plan.
ASEAN teams will meet it as Lark, run from Singapore with different features and USD pricing, and should weigh ByteDance ownership in their data-governance review. Worth it for teams that already live in Feishu or Lark; not a standalone AI purchase.
What we found
Feishu AI is the AI layer of Feishu (飞书), ByteDance's work suite for mainland China, and its branding has shifted repeatedly. The assistant this page first covered launched as 飞书智能伙伴 at Feishu's November 2023 conference, pitched as a framework where companies chose the underlying model. The agent product later carried the aily name, and Feishu's help centre now records that from 14 August 2026 aily became 豆包工作伙伴, Doubao Work Partner. That followed a 30 July 2026 ByteDance reorganisation, reported by Xinhuanghe, that merged the Feishu product team into the Doubao team. A separate agent, 豆包工作 (Doubao Work), launched in August on ByteDance's own Seed models.
The AI now covers meeting minutes, question-answering over company documents, agents that can be assigned tasks or grouped into squads with a captain, scheduled and webhook-triggered automations, AI inside Base (Feishu's spreadsheet-database) and Feishu Spark (飞书妙搭) for building simple apps by conversation. It works within the permissions a user already has, and Feishu says enterprise data is kept apart from the personal edition and not used for model training.
The larger change is pricing, which earlier versions of this page said did not exist. The AI is now sold separately in AI points: individuals pay ¥69 a month or ¥699 a year, and organisations start at ¥990 a month or ¥9,900 a year, on top of the suite subscription. Free credits exist but are issued dynamically according to computing capacity. By ByteDance's own account, more than 90% of Feishu's new customers in Q2 2026 also bought its AI products.
Outside China the suite is Lark, run by Lark Technologies Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, with US-dollar plans and its own AI add-ons, such as AI Meeting Notes at $1,699 for 1,800 notes. Features and prices differ from Feishu's, so ASEAN teams should evaluate Lark on its own terms and put ByteDance ownership through their usual data-governance review.
