Rovo's real trick is turning Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and connected apps into one searchable graph, so questions that used to mean five separate searches return in one chat exchange. G2 reviewers report saving around 20 minutes a day just locating and sharing documentation, and the 20-plus prebuilt agents cover onboarding, incident summaries and release notes without custom setup. Rovo Dev, the coding-agent CLI, currently tops the SWE-bench leaderboard among submitted agents.
The catch is the credit system: Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans get pooled allowances of 25, 70 and 150 credits per user a month, and a single Deep Research query burns 100 of them. Teams outside the Atlassian ecosystem get nothing from it. If you already run Jira and Confluence, it's a low-effort way to stop hunting for documents. If you don't, there's no case for adopting it standalone.
