What was Riffusion is now a Google Labs product: you chat with a Producer agent to make and rework full songs on Lyria 3.5, edit single sections, start from your own audio and direct music videos. The free plan is unusually complete, with stems, WAV downloads and publishing; paid tiers mainly buy credits and concurrency.
You need a Google account, must be 18 or older and must be in a supported country. There is no Flow Music API, and we found no clear commercial-use terms, so check them before monetising.
What we found
Riffusion is now Google Flow Music. The name began with an open-source hobby project from Seth Forsgren and Hayk Martiros that went viral in December 2022, generating music by running a fine-tuned Stable Diffusion model over spectrogram images; that MIT-licensed code remains on GitHub, unmaintained. The company raised a $4 million seed round in October 2023 and in July 2025 relaunched as ProducerAI, a conversational song generator. On 24 February 2026 Google announced that ProducerAI was joining Google Labs, a deal its investors and the trade press reported as an acquisition, and by May Google was calling it Google Flow Music. Both riffusion.com and producer.ai now redirect to flowmusic.app.
Today you chat with a Producer agent to write, restyle and extend full songs with vocals, edit one section without touching the rest, start from your own audio, and make music videos with Google's video models. Spaces let you build instruments and effects, some usable inside a DAW. The current engine is Lyria 3.5, and every output carries Google's SynthID watermark. Users must be 18 or older, sign in with a Google account and live in one of more than 140 supported countries and territories.
The free plan includes daily top-up credits, stem and WAV downloads and publishing. Paid plans add monthly credits and more concurrent generations: Starter at $8 a month, Plus at $24 and Member at $64, or a quarter less billed yearly. Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers get the matching tier included. Earlier versions of this page showed the yearly rates as monthly prices and shifted the credit allowances by a tier.
Google says it does not claim ownership of what you generate, but we could not find a page spelling out commercial-use rights, so check before monetising a track. There is no Flow Music API, although developers can reach Lyria through Google's Gemini API and Vertex AI.
