Gemini is the obvious assistant for people who live in Google's services: it reaches into Gmail, Drive and Docs, runs Deep Research and voice, and its paid plans bundle storage. Singapore pricing is reasonable at the low end, SGD 6.98 for Plus and SGD 28.99 for Pro, and Pro now includes Gemini 4 Argon, Google's newest frontier model.
Two caveats. The free tier has been trimmed to the Flash-Lite model, and Google keeps renaming models and reshuffling plans, so check what a tier includes at the point of purchase. Several agent features, including Spark and most connected apps, launch in the US first.
What we found
Gemini is Google's consumer AI assistant and the name of the model family behind it. The app began as Bard, which Google opened as an early experiment in the US and UK on 21 March 2023; on 8 February 2024 Google renamed Bard to Gemini, which is why this page dates the product to 2023 although the Gemini brand came a year later. It now runs on the web, Android, iOS, Android Auto and native desktop apps for Mac (April 2026) and Windows (September 2026), and connects to Gmail, Drive and, in some regions, more than 40 third-party apps.
The models moved quickly this year. 3.5 Flash reached everyone in May and 3.6 Flash in July, and on 13 October 2026 Google began rolling out Gemini 4 Argon, its new frontier model, to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. In the developer API, Argon is paid-only at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens until 30 November, doubling on 1 December. Gems are being folded into reusable skills, and Gemini Spark, an agent that works through files and Workspace tasks, is limited to Ultra subscribers on the Mac app.
Plans are sold as usage multiples rather than message counts, with limits that refresh every five hours up to a weekly cap. Singapore prices on Google's page today: a free tier that now lists only the Flash-Lite model; Google AI Plus at SGD 6.98 a month for twice the free allowance and the Flash model; Pro at SGD 28.99 for four times, with Argon and the Pro model; and Ultra at SGD 139.99 or SGD 289.98 for five or twenty times Pro. US prices are $4.99, $19.99, $99.99 and $199.99, with storage and YouTube benefits bundled.
The strongest case for Gemini is its reach into Google's own services. The weaker one is stability: models, names and tiers change every few months, and several agent and app features arrive in the US before Singapore and the rest of ASEAN.
