Anifusion handles the real mechanics of comic-making — layout, dialogue and consistent characters — rather than just single images, and its credit-based plans are inexpensive. Its review presence is still almost entirely self-curated, the operator is a small multi-app studio, and the premium models eat credits fast. Anifusion is a browser-based studio for making manga, comics and webtoons with AI. A user describes a story or scene and it lays out pages with panels, character art and dialogue, which can then be edited as layers: speech-bubble text, inpainting to fix parts of a panel, pose control, six-view character sheets and custom model training to keep characters consistent across a series. It draws on SDXL, Pony and Illustrious anime checkpoints, FLUX, GPT Image and Google's Nano Banana models, and has added short video drafts using Veo 3.1 and LTX 2.3, an infinite canvas, a community gallery with weekly contests, and a REST API and hosted MCP server for subscribers. Story generation is designed for English and Japanese, the editor works on desktop only, and pages export as PNG, PSD or multi-page files. Anifusion says more than 210,000 creators have made over 3.3 million images, and its rules prohibit pornography.
The site is run by CodeConda LLC, an Arizona software studio founded in 2023 that operates 11 apps and lists Anifusion as its first; it is unclear whether CodeConda built or acquired it.
Free accounts get 100 credits on sign-up with one workspace, fewer daily generations and stricter content filters. Creator costs $9 a month or $90 a year for 2,000 credits a month that never expire, and Pro $24 a month or $240 a year for 10,000; both add subscriber-only models, high-resolution exports, commercial use and API access. Subscribers can buy extra credits from $15 for 2,000. An image costs 5 to 100 credits depending on the model, so the premium models use credits quickly. Commercial use is allowed, though the terms do not promise exclusive ownership of outputs.
Independent reviews are scarce: the four-and-a-half-star score on Anifusion's own reviews page comes from a list it curates. It suits self-publishers and webtoon creators who want panel-level control.
