Scenario's reason to exist is consistency: train a model on 10 to 30 of your own images and generations stay on-style, which a general-purpose image model cannot promise. Around that it now offers hundreds of third-party models, saved workflows, an API and an MCP server, so it fits inside a real studio pipeline rather than sitting beside it.
Pricing is transparent, from $15 a month billed monthly or a third less annually, and commercial rights start on the first paid plan; free outputs are for evaluation only. Strong fit for studios that need repeatable art direction across many assets; overkill for the occasional one-off image.
What we found
Scenario began as a tool for one job: letting game studios train an image generator on their own art so that new characters, props and environments come out in the house style. Emmanuel de Maistre and Hervé Nivon, a former AWS solutions architect, started it, and in January 2023 TechCrunch reported a $6 million seed round led by Play Ventures, with Anorak Ventures, Founders, Inc., Brendan Iribe, Justin Kan and the Hugging Face founders joining. No later round has been announced.
The product is now much wider. Scenario's homepage describes a production platform that puts more than 650 models from over 40 providers, including Google, OpenAI, ByteDance, Kuaishou and ElevenLabs, into one workspace for image, video, 3D and audio. Chains of models can be saved as node-graph workflows that teammates run from a simple form, an assistant called Genie picks models and fills in settings, and the same models are reachable through a REST API, Python and TypeScript SDKs, an MCP server for Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, and an experimental Blender plugin. Custom training is still the differentiator: the FAQ asks for 10 to 30 images to capture a style or 5 to 15 for a character, with training taking from 30 minutes to a few hours.
Pricing is published and credit-based. Starter costs $15 a month for 1,500 credits, Pro $45 for 5,000 credits with custom training and a priority queue, and Max $75 for 10,000 credits and up to 25 users; annual billing is 33% cheaper. The free tier gives 50 daily credits without a card, but its outputs are for personal and evaluation use only, while paid plans carry a commercial licence. Enterprise adds SSO, IP detection, watermarking and spending limits on a 12-month contract.
Scenario says it is SOC 2 Type II certified and never trains on customer data, and lists Scopely, Epic Games, Supercell and Tripledot among its studio customers. It suits teams that need a consistent look across many assets; occasional users will be paying for machinery they do not need.
