For Oracle Fusion customers, the AI agents are a natural next step: hundreds come included, AI Agent Studio supports MCP, A2A and a choice of models, and the new agentic applications package agents around whole processes such as collections and order management. The economics need watching — usage beyond the included AI Unit allocation is billed, a per-user AI Agents service exists alongside it, and the agentic-applications platform lists at $500,000 a year. Oracle's analyst recognition is self-cited, and independent reviews are lacking. Deploy the included agents; pilot the paid layers with clear success measures.
What we found
Oracle's AI for Fusion Applications puts AI agents inside its cloud ERP, HR, supply-chain and customer-experience software. Oracle introduced agents in Fusion in November 2024 and now offers hundreds, such as a Payables Agent that processes supplier invoices and a Planning Agent for performance management. AI Agent Studio, launched in March 2025, lets customers and partners build, test and monitor their own agents, with a choice of language models, MCP and A2A interoperability, human-in-the-loop approvals, an ROI dashboard and observability tools, and since the 26C release in August 2026 developers can build with VS Code, Codex and Claude Code. An AI Agent Marketplace, opened in October 2025, offers partner-built agents. In March 2026 Oracle added 22 Fusion Agentic Applications — workspaces and command centres such as Collectors Workspace, Sales Order Command Center and Contract Compliance Workspace — that bundle agents around a business process.
Oracle Corporation, founded in 1977 and now headquartered in Austin, Texas, says ISG named it a leader in its 2026 buyers' guide for AI agents. That recognition is cited by Oracle; we found no independent user reviews of the agents themselves.
Pricing has two layers. Prebuilt agents and AI Agent Studio come with Fusion Cloud subscriptions at no additional cost, along with a monthly allocation of AI Units, each worth one cent, and customers buy more as usage grows, at a list price of $1,000 per 100,000 units. Oracle's September 2026 price list also includes an AI Agents service at $150 a month per hosted named user, with a minimum of 50, or $5 per employee, minimum 500, and the Agentic Applications platform at $500,000 a year.
The agents are only available to Fusion Applications customers. For them, the included agents are worth deploying, while the AI Unit allocation and the cost of agentic applications need careful modelling before scaling up.
