Lyrebird Health is an AI medical scribe for doctors and other clinicians. It listens to consultations, transcribes or takes dictation, and drafts clinical notes in customisable templates, then produces referral and patient letters, Workcover certificates, care plans, assessments and PBS authority scripts, sorts incoming documents and writes back to the practice system. It integrates with Australian GP software including Best Practice, where it is sold as Bp Lyrebird Scribe, Genie, Cubiko and BetterConsult, and with hospital systems such as Epic, Oracle Health and Meditech. Australian patient data is processed and stored in Australia, UK data in the UK, and Best Practice says audio is deleted immediately after transcription.
Lyrebird was started in Melbourne in early 2023 by Kai Van Lieshout, its chief executive, and Linus Talacko through a Startmate fellowship, and is run by Subsidio Pty Ltd. It raised a $12 million Series A led by Five V Capital with Octopus Ventures in 2025, at a reported $50 million valuation. Its largest deployment is in the UK, where four South West London NHS trusts plan to roll it out to up to 20,000 clinicians over four years and Kingston and Richmond began in September 2026; Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Gold Coast Health are other named users. Its US page currently mirrors the Australian one.
Prices are shown in dollars without a currency label and appear to be Australian, excluding GST. The free plan allows 50 transcription and ten document actions a month without EMR integration. Clinics on Best Practice Premier get Bp Free, with unlimited notes, ten documents a month and Best Practice write-back. Pro costs $160 a month billed annually or $240 monthly, with unlimited notes, documents and care plans and all integrations, after a 14-day trial; registrars and part-time clinicians can ask for discounts, and Enterprise adds organisation sharing, SSO and an account manager.
Trustpilot rates it 4.4 from 33 reviews; one GP called it "practice changing". It suits Australian and UK clinicians wanting an integrated scribe.
