Anything — Create.xyz until its August 2025 rebrand — is a capable prompt-to-app generator: it builds the front end, backend and database together, handles auth and payments, and can submit apps to the App Store, which puts it ahead of tools that stop at a web prototype. But it is no longer a free tool to experiment with: building requires a paid plan, from $19 a month billed annually ($24 monthly), and credits drain quickly on complex apps, which is the most common Trustpilot complaint. Apple briefly pulled its iOS app in 2026, a reminder that App Store rules for AI-built apps are still moving. Good for non-technical founders and marketers shipping small apps and prototypes fast; budget for credits and export your code before a project outgrows the agent.
What we found
Anything is the AI app builder formerly called Create.xyz; the team bought a new domain and relaunched under the Anything name in August 2025, the same day OpenAI released GPT-5. You describe an app in plain language and an agent builds the front end, backend logic and a PostgreSQL database for each project, with authentication, more than 100 built-in integrations, payments through Stripe and RevenueCat, and ads through AdMob and AdSense. Apps deploy to a custom domain or are submitted to the App Store, and Pro users can export the code. Founders Dhruv Amin and Marcus Lowe, who met at Google, raised $11 million at a $100 million valuation led by Footwork in September 2025. The company is based in San Francisco.
The free plan many reviews still describe no longer builds anything: Anything's documentation states that building an app requires a paid plan, and a free account can only keep existing published apps live. Pro costs $19 a month billed annually, or $24 monthly, for 20,000 credits a month, private projects, custom domains, code export, App Store submission and 50 GB of storage. Max starts at $199 a month annually, or $239 monthly, for 220,000 credits and adds parallel agents, visual testing by a computer-use agent, a million-token context and automated testing, with larger credit tiers up to $1,079 a month. Top-up credits never expire; subscriptions are not refunded, though credits are returned for failed generations.
Two 2026 events matter. Apple removed the iOS app from the App Store in late March over its rules on executable code, restoring it in early April. And when the rival builder Mocha shut down on 1 August 2026, Anything became its official migration partner.
Trustpilot reviews, spread across three unclaimed profiles averaging between 2.4 and 2.6, mostly complain about credits being consumed quickly, a few about pressure to upgrade or refused refunds, and one about Mocha projects arriving broken. Budget credits carefully and export your code if you plan to grow beyond what the agent handles.
