UBTECH has done more than most humanoid makers to turn demos into invoices: its filings show 1,079 full-size humanoids sold in 2025 and 921 in the first half of 2026, now nearly half of revenue, and Walker S2's autonomous battery swap suits shift work on factory lines. Order totals and named automaker partners come from UBTECH's own releases, and the company still loses money.
Walker S2 is sold by direct contract with no published price. Individuals can buy Alpha Mini, AI Wukong or Yanshee robots for learning, or, at a much higher price, a UWORLD U1 companion. A serious industrial option to evaluate; not an off-the-shelf purchase.
What we found
UBTECH (优必选) is a Shenzhen robotics company, established in March 2012 and listed in Hong Kong as 9880 since December 2023. It built its name on small Alpha humanoids and classroom kits, and developed its first full-size Walker humanoid in 2018. The business now turns on the Walker S industrial series: Walker S2, launched in 2025 with an autonomous battery swap that UBTECH says takes three minutes, began mass production and delivery that November.
The order claims are UBTECH's own, and they escalated quickly. A November 2025 release put Walker-series orders since early 2025 above RMB 800 million, including a RMB 250 million contract in September and RMB 159 million for a data-collection centre in Zigong; by late November IT之家 reported RMB 1.3 billion for the year, and a January 2026 statement said RMB 1.4 billion. The release names BYD, Geely, FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao, Audi FAW, Foxconn and SF Express as partners it collaborates with, which is not the same as each running a fleet. Airbus bought a Walker S2 to trial in aircraft manufacturing, and the interim report says its commercial-robot sales channels reach Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea and Europe.
The filings are firmer. For 2025, revenue rose 53.3% to RMB 2.0 billion, full-size humanoids became the largest line at RMB 820.6 million from 1,079 units, and the loss narrowed to RMB 789.8 million. In the first half of 2026 revenue doubled to RMB 1.27 billion, humanoids brought in RMB 590.3 million from 921 units, and the loss fell to RMB 338.8 million. UBTECH is not yet profitable; analyst forecasts quoted on earlier versions of this page could not be traced and have been removed.
Individuals can buy UBTECH robots. Alpha Mini, the AI Wukong companion and the Yanshee education robot sit at the low end, though ubtrobot.com lists no prices. At the other extreme, the UWORLD U1 full-size companion humanoid launched in June 2026 at RMB 119,800 for the Lite model, according to Gasgoo.
