SkyMusic earned its reputation honestly: when it opened for public testing in April 2024 it was the first widely-available Chinese model that could sing convincingly rather than just hum a backing track, and dialect support (Cantonese, Chengdu, Beijing speech patterns) is still a genuine point of difference against Suno and other Western tools that handle Mandarin passably at best and regional dialects not at all.
Two years on it's aged into a solid, if under-marketed, niche option. It's mobile-app-only, ties into Kunlun's broader Tiangong super-app rather than standing alone, caps songs around 80 seconds, and has no public developer API of its own (Kunlun's separate global product, Mureka, has an API, but that's a different product built on related tech).
