Vyond is a browser-based animated video maker for training, marketing and internal communications. You build scenes from characters, props and templates, or start from a prompt, script, document or web page with Vyond Go, which drafts a script and video for you. AI features add text-to-speech in more than 650 voices, more than 1,300 AI avatars, prompt-generated avatars and images, and one-click translation into 95 languages. It also records screens and webcams, exports SCORM for learning systems, works with Articulate Rise and Storyline, Zapier, Slack and Google Docs, and supports SSO, SCIM and a FedRAMP option for US government. AI features use credits allocated to each user every month, which reset monthly and do not roll over; credit costs for several features were revised in May 2026. Exports do not use credits but are capped by plan.
Vyond is made by GoAnimate, Inc., founded in 2007 by Alvin Hung, which relaunched as Vyond in 2018, is based in San Mateo, California, and raised $50 million from PeakSpan Capital in 2021. It has offices in Silicon Valley, Chicago, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand and holds ISO 27001 certification.
Prices are per user. Starter costs $99 a month, or $58 a month billed annually ($699 a year), with 10,000 credits, 100 downloads a month and videos up to 25 minutes. Professional costs $199 monthly or $100 a month billed annually ($1,199 a year), adding collaboration, Shutterstock assets, translation and 20,000 credits. Enterprise, at $1,649 a year, and Agency, at $1,999, are annual only, with brand management, longer videos and much larger credit allowances; Agency is for client work. There is no free plan; a trial allows three watermarked videos with no downloads.
G2 rates Vyond 4.7 from 550 reviews and Capterra 4.7 from 267, and some users find the AI credit allowance limiting. It suits training and communications teams that need a steady flow of explainer videos.
