Sprout.ai is a focused claims-automation platform: AI-OCR intake, enrichment, coverage checking, fraud flags and explainable decisioning, sold as modules so an insurer can start with one bottleneck. Named customers such as AXA, MetLife, AdvanceCare and Scottish Widows, a June 2026 Guidewire Marketplace integration and ISO 27001 certification make it a credible shortlist candidate.

What we found
Sprout.ai is a London insurtech that sells AI for insurance claims to insurers, third-party administrators and managing general agents. Companies House shows the business incorporated in March 2018 as BlockClaim, renamed Sprout.ai in April 2020, and still active. Roi Amir, previously head of engineering at Tractable, has been chief executive since January 2022. The company raised £5.4 million in October 2023 in a round led by Amadeus Capital Partners and Praetura Ventures, alongside existing backers Octopus Ventures, Playfair and Techstars, and rebranded in October 2025 as it moved from start-up to scale-up.
The platform has five modules that can be bought separately: document processing with AI-OCR, coding and enrichment against external data and medical databases, policy coverage checking, fraud flagging, and decisioning with written rationale for handlers. It connects to Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Sapiens and other claims systems, and in June 2026 it launched a ClaimCenter integration on the Guidewire Marketplace for real-time policy checks at first notice of loss.
Customers named on its own site are AXA, AdvanceCare, Lloyds Banking Group, MetLife and Scottish Widows. AdvanceCare, a Portuguese health TPA, says some claims now settle in 60 seconds, and Scottish Widows is piloting it on life and critical-illness claims. Earlier versions of this page listed Zurich as a customer; Zurich now appears only as the partner behind a 2022 award.
The headline numbers are vendor-reported and come from a single customer: more than 67% of claims suitable for real-time straight-through processing, up to 98% of routine claims handled within five minutes, and go-live three months after signing. An older claim of 96% accuracy is no longer on the site. Sprout.ai holds ISO 27001, first certified in 2022 and renewed in 2025, and placed eighth in BusinessCloud's 2025 InsurTech 50. It has a hub in Japan and a Japanese site. No pricing is published, and buyers should ask how the figures were measured.
