Predibase is a strong platform for fine-tuning and serving open-source small language models, pairing a post-training stack (including reinforcement fine-tuning) with a highly optimised inference engine and LoRAX, its open-source system for serving many LoRA adapters cheaply at scale. Founded by ex-Google and Uber engineers, it is well regarded for turning open models into accurate, cost-effective production endpoints, and was acquired by Rubrik in mid-2025 to power governed, agentic AI.
