Pillar Security suits an enterprise building or buying AI agents in earnest that wants discovery, red-teaming and runtime protection in one product. RedGraph attacks complete agent workflows, findings feed the guardrails, and an endpoint module inventories coding agents on staff laptops. Gartner's 2026 mentions add outside weight.
The caveats are a start-up's: one disclosed $9 million seed round, few public reviews and quote-only pricing with no free tier. Regulated buyers, including in Southeast Asia, can self-host almost the whole platform.
What we found
Pillar Security is an AI-security company that describes itself as headquartered in Miami and Tel Aviv. Its co-founders are Dor Sarig, who worked with Israel's Ministry of Defense, and Ziv Karliner, who came from Israeli intelligence; the site's terms are governed by Israeli law and name Pillar Security Inc. and Pillar Security Ltd. Its only disclosed funding is a $9 million seed round in April 2025, led by Shield Capital with Golden Ventures and Ground Up Ventures.
The platform has widened from guarding chatbots to what Pillar calls securing the agentic workforce. It inventories agents, models, prompts, MCP servers and skills across code, CI/CD pipelines, SaaS tools and employee laptops, and an endpoint module finds coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex CLI and flags unsafe settings. RedGraph, its autonomous red-teaming engine, runs multi-step attacks and feeds validated findings into runtime guardrails that block prompt injection, tool misuse and leaks of personal data or secrets. Governance reports map to GDPR, the EU AI Act, ISO 42001 and SOC 2. It runs in Pillar's cloud, in a customer's own Kubernetes environment, or both; self-hosted installs lack only the adaptive guardrails, so earlier claims on this page about missing data residency were misleading.
The outside recognition comes from analysts and trade press. Gartner featured Pillar in a July 2026 report on the coolest vendor innovations in AI software security and in September named it a Pioneer in an Emerging Market Quadrant for AI application security start-ups, and CRN put it on a mid-2026 list of hot AI-security start-ups. Its researchers' disclosures, including the Rules File Backdoor attack on AI coding assistants, were covered by The Hacker News and SC World.
User-review evidence is thin. Customers named publicly are Similarweb, Eleos Health and AvidXchange, from the 2025 funding release. Pricing is by quote only, and buyers who need data kept in-region can self-host it.
