Numeric is a well-regarded, well-funded tool that genuinely shortens the month-end close for scaling finance teams, and its G2 standing is strong. Its ambitions have grown into replacing the ERP itself, a far bigger commitment than adopting a close tool, and pricing is entirely by quote. Its automation statistics are its own. Numeric is AI accounting software for finance teams at fast-growing companies, which began as a tool for managing the month-end close and has expanded into a full finance platform. Its close and analytics module tracks close tasks, reconciles accounts automatically against live ERP data, monitors transactions, produces reports and runs flux analysis, where AI drafts explanations of month-to-month variances; Numeric says AI writes 80 per cent of first drafts for customers. A cash module matches up to 95 per cent of bank transactions automatically and automates journal entries, and a billing and revenue module handles usage-based invoicing, collections and ASC 606 revenue recognition. In September 2026 it launched a Financial Data Platform that combines all of these with subledgers and an in-app AI called Prism, marketed as a replacement for NetSuite. Its MCP server lets Claude and ChatGPT work with Numeric data.
Numeric is the trading name of Velocity Labs Inc. of San Francisco, founded in 2020 by Parker Gilbert, its chief executive, Anthony Alvernaz and Andrew Bihl. It raised a $51 million Series B led by IVP in November 2025, bringing total funding to $89 million, and its customers include Brex, Plaid, Wealthfront, Betterment and GOAT, according to its case studies.
Numeric does not publish prices. It sells the close, cash, and billing and revenue modules separately or together, with the ERP replacement including everything, and quotes each customer based on transaction volume, seats and implementation complexity. We found no free plan or trial.
G2 rates Numeric 4.8 from 65 reviews, 55 of them five stars. Of the ten we could read, one described cutting the close from nine days to six, one praised how quickly support acted on suggestions, and one reviewer raised both slow flux sign-off and occasional errors. Numeric suits finance teams at scaling companies, particularly those outgrowing NetSuite.
