Mureka is a strong second-tier pick for AI songs: V9.5 sits third on Artificial Analysis's vocal board behind two Suno v6 models, Premier unlocks 12-stem, MIDI and DAW-session exports, and the pay-per-song API from $0.03 a track is unusually open for this category. Run by Skywork AI in Singapore, it is easy to buy from ASEAN.
Be careful with billing. Trustpilot reads 1.4 out of 5 from 206 reviews, mostly about trials rolling into annual charges and hard-to-find cancellation, and refunds go through Apple, Google or Stripe. A US lawsuit alleging training on musicians' recordings is pending, and output rights are granted "(if any)", so get legal advice before rights-sensitive commercial releases.

Mureka is the song generator run by Skywork AI Pte. Ltd. from Singapore, part of China's Kunlun Tech group, which first launched it in August 2024. You give it lyrics or a short prompt and it returns finished songs with vocals. The current V9.5 model, released in August 2026, is built on what Mureka calls MusiCoT, a music chain-of-thought step that plans the song's structure before filling in sections.
On quality it is a real contender rather than the leader. On Artificial Analysis's blind-vote Music Arena, read on 12 October 2026, Suno v6 ranked first on both boards, with Mureka V9.5 third on vocals and Mureka V9 third on instrumentals; earlier versions of this page said Mureka traded the top spot. The paid plans are broad: Pro adds the advanced models, commercial rights, remixing, reference tracks and music videos, while Premier adds 12-stem splitting, WAV, MIDI and DAW-session downloads, Mureka Studio and voice cloning. A pay-as-you-go API charges per song.
Billing is the weak point. Trustpilot shows 1.4 out of 5 from 206 reviews, 89% of them one-star, on a profile Mureka has not claimed. The recurring complaints are about subscriptions: trials rolling into annual charges and a cancel option people cannot find. Mureka's own terms add to the friction: refunds go through Apple, Google or Stripe, not Mureka, and cancellation has to happen at least 24 hours before renewal.
Two legal points matter for commercial users. Paid output belongs to you along with "intellectual property rights (if any)", which is not a promise that a copyright exists, and free-tier output is licensed for non-commercial use with attribution only. Separately, musicians sued Kunlun Tech and Skywork in Illinois federal court in December 2025, alleging Mureka was trained on their recordings and voices. The defendants' motions to dismiss were taken under advisement in September 2026, and nothing has been decided on the merits.
