DeepSource is a solid pull-request gate: static analysis across quality, security, IaC and secrets, an AI Review layer billed by lines processed, and Autofix. Its low-noise reputation rests on a 2020 design goal of under 5% false positives, which is a target rather than an audited rate, so measure it on your own repositories during the 14-day trial.
Pricing is clear, with a free plan for public repositories and Team at $24 per user per month billed yearly. The September 2026 Harness acquisition is the main unknown for teams outside the Harness ecosystem.

DeepSource is a code review and code security platform that Harness acquired in September 2026. Its founders, Sanket Saurav and Jai Pradeesh, started it in 2018 and took it through Y Combinator's Winter 2020 batch. The acquisition post says existing workspaces carry on unchanged, DeepSource Cloud is still sold self-serve, and its open-source projects keep their licences, while the product is folded over time into Harness's software-delivery platform.
The product combines static analysis across code quality, SAST, infrastructure-as-code, secrets detection and coverage with an AI Review layer that comments on every pull request, and Autofix, which proposes fixes for flagged issues. DeepSource publishes an OpenSSF CVE Benchmark table in which it scores the highest F1; it is the vendor's own comparison. The figure most often repeated about DeepSource, a false-positive rate under 5%, comes from a 2020 engineering blog post that describes 5% as the goal its pipeline was designed around. It was never a guarantee, and earlier versions of this page called it one.
Pricing has three plans. Open Source is free for public repositories with unlimited members and 1,000 pull-request reviews a month, with AI Review and Autofix charged as used. Team costs $24 per user per month billed yearly; DeepSource says annual billing saves up to 20% but does not print the monthly rate. Team adds private repositories, unlimited reviews and Autofix, and a $100 yearly AI Review credit per user, after which AI Review is billed by processed lines of code at $8 per 10,000 for Standard or $15 for Advanced. Enterprise adds self-hosting, bring-your-own model keys, SSO and an SLA at a custom price. There is a 14-day trial with up to $50 of AI credits.
It suits teams that want static analysis and AI review in one pull-request check. The open question is how the product changes inside Harness, and buyers outside that ecosystem should watch the roadmap.
