RECATOOLS publishes images from three sources, and every image on the site should be traceable to one of them.
Where our images come from
- Licensed stock. Retrieved through our image engine from Pexels and Pixabay, stored on our own servers, and credited to the photographer and provider.
- Original illustration. Commissioned or generated artwork produced for RECATOOLS, credited as such. It is never presented as a photograph of a real event.
- Official manufacturer media. For coverage of product launches, keynotes and similar announcements, we may use a manufacturer's own official press images, obtained from that manufacturer's newsroom or media library.
We do not take images from unauthorised sources, and we do not hot-link images from anyone else's servers.
Official manufacturer media
Where we use a manufacturer's official media, RECATOOLS claims no ownership of those images. All trademarks, product designs and brand marks shown remain the property of their respective owners. The manufacturer is named in the article, and the article states plainly that the images are theirs.
We use first-party material specifically so that readers see what the manufacturer actually published, rather than an unauthorised copy or a mock-up.
Such coverage is independent. It is not sponsored, endorsed or reviewed by the manufacturer, and we receive no payment or consideration for it. Specifications and prices are reported as the manufacturer published them at the time of writing.
Requesting removal
If you are a rights holder and you want an image or an article removed or amended, we will act on your request. You do not need to explain why, and you do not need to send a formal legal notice first.
Contact us through the contact page with:
- The article title or URL
- Which image or material the request concerns
- Confirmation that you represent the rights holder
- Whether you want the material removed, replaced, or the credit amended
We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days and to action them promptly once verified. Where only an image is affected, we will usually remove or replace the image and keep the article, unless you ask otherwise.
Corrections
Factual errors are handled separately under our corrections policy. If an article misstates a specification, a price or a date, we would rather fix it than remove it — tell us and we will correct the record.
