LTX Studio is built for scene-level work rather than one-off clips: upload a script, get scenes and a storyboard, then direct each shot, with saved Elements carrying characters and locations across a project. Partner models (Kling, Seedance, Nano Banana, and Veo 3.1 on Pro) sit beside LTX's own LTX-2.5.
Watch the licensing. Free and the $15 Lite plan are personal use only, so any business use needs Standard at $35 a month. Reviews diverge, with G2 at 4.3 out of 5 and Trustpilot at 1.6, mostly over credits and refunds. It suits filmmakers and agencies prototyping narrative video who will manage a credit budget.
What we found
LTX Studio is the browser-based video production app from LTX, the AI-video business that grew inside Lightricks, the Jerusalem company behind Facetune. Lightricks said in June 2026 it would split in two, and in July LTX announced it was spinning off as an "open world models company", with Facetune staying behind. LTX Studio's terms still name Lightricks Ltd., and the trade press reported the product lineup unchanged by the restructuring.
The app takes a script or prompt and turns it into scenes and a storyboard, then lets you direct each shot with camera controls, keyframed motion and visual references. Recurring characters, objects and locations are saved as reusable "Elements" so a look holds across a project. Underneath sit LTX's own models, LTX-2.5 since August 2026 plus LTX-2.3, alongside partner models: Kling 2.6 Pro and 3.0 Pro, Seedance 2.0 and Nano Banana from the Standard plan, and Veo 3.1 only on Pro.
Pricing is credit-based. The free tier gives 800 one-time credits under a personal-use licence. Lite costs $15 a month and adds upscaling, editing tools and no watermark, but is still personal use only; commercial rights start at Standard ($35 a month), and Pro is $125. Annual billing takes 20 per cent off. Earlier versions of this page said the $15 plan included commercial rights and the premium models, which was wrong.
The LTX models themselves are open weights on GitHub and Hugging Face, with an Apache-licensed desktop app. They are not open source in the usual sense: the LTX-2.x Community License requires a paid licence once an organisation has $10 million or more in annual revenue.
Reviews split sharply. G2 shows 4.3 out of 5 from 123 reviews, where storyboarding and character consistency come up most often, with consistency appearing among the complaints as well as the praise. Trustpilot shows 1.6 from 77 reviews, 87 per cent of them one star, and most of those mention credits, charges, subscriptions or refunds.
