KoltiTrace is built for the hardest part of traceability: the first mile, where smallholders, collectors and cooperatives keep few records. Plot mapping, deforestation screening against EUDR cut-off dates, satellite verification and due diligence statements for TRACES are all in one system, and Koltiva sends people into the field to collect the data, not just software.
The AI is narrower than the marketing: machine-learning deforestation detection on the EUDR map, plus a 2026 pilot to automate ESG and compliance reports. Pricing is quote-only. A strong fit for commodity buyers with smallholder supply chains in Indonesia and other origins.
What we found
Koltiva is a Swiss-Indonesian agritech company whose software and field teams help commodity buyers prove where their raw materials come from. It began in Indonesia in 2013 as PT Koltiva with CocoaTrace, a tool for registering cocoa smallholders, added Koltiva AG in Switzerland in 2017, and in 2021 launched the integrated traceability platform now sold as KoltiTrace. The company currently claims 2 million registered producers, more than 19,000 businesses, 68 crops and 94 countries; those are its own figures.
KoltiTrace covers farmer profiles and training records, polygon or GPS mapping of plots, transaction-level traceability from farm to buyer, historic land-use-change and deforestation maps, greenhouse-gas estimates for Scope 3 reporting, and data feeds from digital scales and weather stations. Farmers use a FarmCloud mobile app that includes the KoltiPay eWallet. The demand driver is regulation: the EUDR solution screens plots against cut-off dates, peatland and NDPE filters, confirms alerts against high-resolution satellite imagery, and prepares due diligence statements for the EU TRACES system. A Nestlé-branded KoltiTrace login portal is live, which suggests dedicated client deployments.
The AI story has two parts. Koltiva says its EUDR deforestation map already uses machine-learning detection. The newer piece is a February 2026 pilot with SUGATA, a coffee and cocoa supplier in Aceh, under AI Singapore's AIAP for Industry programme, to co-develop AI-generated sustainability and compliance reports with automated data-quality checks. Koltiva's own CTO described that as work being prioritised, so treat it as development rather than a shipped feature.
Funding is modest by agritech standards: an undisclosed 2022 round led by Silverstrand Capital, then a Series A led by AC Ventures in September 2023, reported only as seven figures. Pricing is not published; KoltiTrace is sold through sales conversations. Earlier versions of this page quoted employee ratings from Glassdoor, which could not be read for this review and have been removed.
