ASEAN Perspective
Convergence.ai in Southeast Asia

Convergence.ai built Proxy, a capable autonomous web agent that navigates real browser interfaces visually — clicking, typing and adapting to UI changes without needing API integrations — to complete multi-step online tasks. The underlying approach (adaptive 'meta-learning' models) was technically impressive and showed strong promise for general web automation.
The decisive caveat: Convergence was acquired by Salesforce in mid-2025, with the team and technology being folded into the Agentforce platform. So while the standalone Proxy product may persist for a time, its long-term path is as Salesforce IP rather than an independent tool — anyone adopting it now is betting on Salesforce's roadmap. Scores reflect strong tech tempered by that uncertainty.
